Extracurriculars

Elizabeth Ide School is happy to partner with a variety of community organizations in providing extracurricular opportunities for our students at the primary level.  Research suggests that extracurricular activities and involvement in community clubs and organizations foster and strengthen the development of academic, social, and emotional skills.

The information located below reflects the various extracurricular activities communicated to our school community members throughout the school year. Information on each of these extracurricular activities is distributed to our students and parents through our weekly newsletter. These organizations may not be directly affiliated with Center Cass School District 66.

Intramural Basketball - 2nd Grade -November 6th - November 17th
Students at the 2nd grade level have the opportunity to participate in 10 sessions Monday through Friday. There will be a maximum of 30 students per grade level, at this time.

Additional Information: There is no cost for Intramural Basketball. Sessions are typically held before school in the gym at Elizabeth Ide School. Forms will need to be turned in by the set deadline.

BAMTheatre
This theatre class is the perfect experience for elementary school actors! Appropriate for beginners, as well as more experienced actors, this class will study the foundations of musical theatre (singing, acting, and dancing) and also rehearse a small show right at Elizabeth Ide School! The final class will offer a performance for parents to attend.

Young Rembrandts
Recognized as a leader in art education, Young Rembrandts provides children with step-by-step methods for teaching drawing, as well as the fundamental skill of all visual arts. Children who learn to draw using the Young Rembrandts method develop spatial reasoning and fine motor skills, order and sequencing abilities, visualization, and self-discipline as well as fundamental art skills. Concrete ideas and techniques are introduced that enlarge children’s visual vocabularies, enrich their imaginations, and their minds. Young Rembrandts offers well-organized classes and teaches an original, high-quality curriculum in a positive environment.
